Cancellation Policy (For, Rutav Engitronic Systems Pvt Ltd)

1. General Cancellation Terms
- Eligibility: You can cancel your order if it has not yet been shipped from our warehouse.

2. Cancellation Timeframes
Before Shipment: Orders can be canceled without any cancellation fees if the cancellation request is received before the item is shipped.
After Shipment (But Before Delivery): Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be canceled. In such cases, you may refuse to accept the delivery, and the item will be returned to us. Upon receipt of the returned item in its original condition, we will process a refund as per our Refund Policy, minus any applicable shipping charges or return fees incurred by us.
After Delivery: Once an item has been delivered, it falls under our Return and Refund Policy. Cancellation is generally not possible after delivery, but you may be eligible for a return and refund based on the terms of our Return Policy.
3. Cancellations by shop.rutav.in
In rare circumstances, shop.rutav.in may need to cancel an order. This could be due to:
Product Unavailability: The item you ordered is out of stock or no longer available.
Pricing Errors: Errors in product pricing or descriptions.
Incorrect Information: Invalid or incomplete shipping address, payment details, etc.

4. Refund for Canceled Orders
Processing Time: Refunds for successfully canceled orders (before shipment) will be processed within 5-7 business days from the date of cancellation confirmation.
Refund Method: The refund will be credited back to the original payment method used for the purchase.
Partial Cancellations: If you cancel part of an order, the refund will be for the canceled items only.
5. Non-Cancellable Items
Certain items may not be eligible for cancellation once the order is placed. These may include:
Personalized/Customized Items: Items made specifically for your order.
Digital Products
Final Sale/Clearance Items: Products explicitly marked as non-cancellable or “final sale.”

6. Important Considerations (Indian Legal Context)
Consumer Protection Act, 2019 & E-Commerce Rules, 2020: As per Indian law, e-commerce entities are required to have clear, accessible, and fair cancellation and refund policies. We adhere to these regulations.
“Cooling-Off” Period: While not explicitly a “cooling-off” period in the European sense, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, combined with the E-Commerce Rules, 2020, implies that consumers should have a reasonable opportunity to cancel or return goods, especially if they are defective or not as described. Our policy aims to provide this flexibility.
Cancellation Charges: We generally do not impose cancellation charges for cancellations made before shipment. However, if an order is canceled after shipment, and you refuse delivery, we may deduct shipping or return processing costs as applicable, provided these charges are also borne by us if we unilaterally cancel an order for reasons within our control. The law prohibits disproportionate cancellation charges.
RBI Guidelines for Refunds: Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method in a timely manner as per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines.
